Privacy Policy

Effective July 11, 2026

Prepared in-house by the Nexus team, without outside counsel, and written to be read in plain English.

Nexus Golf Recruiting is a college golf recruiting platform for junior golfers and their families. We collect what we need to run it: an account email and password, the stats and recruiting details you choose to enter, payment status from our payment processor, and standard server logs. No ads, no data selling, no third-party ad trackers.

Who we are

Nexus Golf Recruiting (“we,” “us”) operates nexusgolfrecruiting.com (the “Service”), a platform that helps junior golfers and their families evaluate fit for college golf programs: fit scores against real team data, AI analysis, a coach directory, a tournament finder and scheduler, coach-outreach email drafts, and a recruiting resume builder. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: team@nexusgolfrecruiting.com.

What we collect

The marketing pages are readable without giving us anything. When you use the Service, here is what we collect:

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by Supabase, our database and authentication provider; your password is stored only in hashed form, and we never see or store it in plain text.
  • Athlete profile. The stats you enter to get fit scores: gender, graduation year, GPA, SAT/ACT scores, handicap index, scoring average, low round, tournaments played, rankings, and home city. This information is stored in our database with your account so your scores and recommendations persist across devices.
  • Recruiting profile. If you use the Email Hub or Resume Builder, we also store the details you add there: the player's first and last name, current school, city and state, phone number, target enrollment semester, tournament finishes, honors, a highlight-video link, and the contact details you provide for the player's current coach and high-school coach.
  • Profile photo. If you upload one, it is resized in your browser and stored in our database with your profile.
  • Payment status. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number; we store only your subscription tier and status and a Stripe customer reference so we know what your account has access to.
  • Contact form and waitlist. If you contact us, we store your name, email, subject, and message. If you join the launch waitlist, we store your email.
  • How you found us. We ask “how did you hear about us,” and a first-party cookie records the campaign, referrer, and landing page of your first visit (see Cookies below) so we know which marketing works.
  • Logs and security data. Like nearly every website, our servers record request logs that include IP addresses and basic request metadata, used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and keeping the Service running.

We do not collect precise location data or advertising identifiers, and we never ask for a Social Security number or financial details beyond what Stripe processes.

How we use your information

  • To operate the Service and keep you signed in.
  • To compute your fit scores and recommendations and to generate AI analysis, email drafts, and resume text from the details you enter.
  • To manage your subscription and provide what you paid for.
  • To respond when you contact us, and to email the waitlist when we launch.
  • To understand which marketing brings families to the Service.
  • To protect the Service: rate limiting, abuse detection, and security investigation.

We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.

AI processing

The AI features (fit analysis, school comparisons, email drafts, and resume text) are powered by Anthropic's Claude models. To generate these, our servers send Anthropic the relevant details you entered — your athlete stats, and for the resume, the player's name, school, and highlights. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train Anthropic's models. We do not train any AI models of our own on your information, and we do not sell or share it for anyone else to do so.

AI output is an informational estimate: no person at Nexus reviews your inputs or results, and nothing the AI produces makes any legally significant decision about you or a player — it does not determine eligibility, admission, financial aid, or any recruiting outcome. See Sections 4 and 5 of our Terms of Use for its limits.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies. We set session cookies that keep you signed in to your account, and one first-party attribution cookie (nx_attr) that remembers the campaign, referrer, and landing page of your first visit for 90 days. It is HTTP-only and readable only by our own site. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies.

Local storage on your device. Some features keep working data in your browser rather than on our servers: a local copy of your athlete profile (so the forms stay filled in, even before you sign in), your checked-off recruiting-playbook tasks, and in-progress school selections as you move between pages. This stays on your device; you can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We measure traffic with Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-focused, first-party analytics service run by our hosting provider. It records page views and basic device and referrer information without setting any cookies; visitors are counted using an anonymized identifier derived from the incoming request that is valid for a single day and cannot be used to track you across sites. Analytics data is not shared with advertisers and is not tied to your account.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (United States). Stores account records, hashed credentials, profiles, and operational data.
  • Vercel — hosting and analytics (United States). Runs the servers that serve the site and produce the request logs described above.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Receives your payment details directly; we never see your card number.
  • Resend — transactional email. Delivers emails such as contact-form notifications.
  • Anthropic — AI processing, as described above.

These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We do not give any other company access to your personal information, and we do not sell or share it.

Directory data

The Nexus directory aggregates publicly available information: college golf program data, rosters, and contact information for coaches published by their schools (such as institutional email addresses on athletics websites), plus tournament schedules published by junior golf tours and organizers. This is information about public programs and roles, not private individuals' personal lives, and coach contact details are gated behind accounts to discourage bulk collection. If you are a coach or represent an institution and your listing is inaccurate, or you would prefer not to be listed, email team@nexusgolfrecruiting.com from an institutional address and we will correct or remove it.

How long we keep information

  • Account and profile data: kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
  • Contact-form messages and waitlist emails: kept until the purpose is served or you ask us to remove them.
  • Billing records: kept as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
  • Server and security logs: kept for a short period for security and operations, then rotated out.

Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, or delete your information at any time:

  • Account deletion: email team@nexusgolfrecruiting.com from the address on your account and we will delete the account and its associated data.
  • Access and correction: most profile information can be edited directly in the app; for anything else, email us and we will tell you what we hold about you and fix anything that is wrong.
  • Waitlist and email: email us and we will remove you.

If you live in Texas, California, or another U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you have rights over your personal information, including the right to know or access what we hold, the right to correct it, the right to delete it, the right to data portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of them, email team@nexusgolfrecruiting.com from the address associated with your information; we may ask you to confirm a few details to verify the request, and we honor these requests regardless of the state you live in. You may use an authorized agent. For clarity under these laws: we do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, including a minor's information, beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.

Children's privacy

Nexus is built for junior golfers 13 and older and their parents. A parent or legal guardian must consent to use by anyone under 18, and children under 13 may not use the Service.

The Service is designed for junior golfers, typically ages 14 to 18, and their families. Accounts may be created by players who are at least 13 with a parent or guardian's consent, or by a parent or guardian on a player's behalf. By providing information about a player under 18, you confirm that you are that player's parent or legal guardian or are otherwise authorized to provide it and to agree to this policy on the player's behalf.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not let a child under 13 create an account or submit information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us at team@nexusgolfrecruiting.com and we will delete it.

No profiling or advertising to minors. We do not use any information about a minor to build advertising or behavioral profiles, we do not serve targeted advertising, and we do not sell or share a minor's information. There are no third-party advertising trackers anywhere on the Service.

Parental review and deletion. Parents and guardians can review the information in the account directly, and can ask us to provide, correct, or delete anything we hold about their child — including the whole account — by emailing team@nexusgolfrecruiting.com. We respond promptly and without charge.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider, database access is restricted with row-level security so accounts can only read their own data, AI and payment keys live only on our servers, and the Service enforces rate limits to slow abuse. No website can promise perfect security, but we deliberately keep what we collect limited to what the Service needs.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. If a change meaningfully affects what we collect or how we use it, we will make that clear rather than bury it.
